Record #94683:

Measurements and interpretation of gravity anomaly in and around Ross Island, Antarctica / Satoshi Miura, Katsutada Kaminuma.

Title: Measurements and interpretation of gravity anomaly in and around Ross Island, Antarctica / Satoshi Miura, Katsutada Kaminuma.
Author(s): Miura, Satoshi.
Kaminuma, Katsutada.
Date: 1988.
In: National Institute of Polar Research. Proceedings of the NIPR Symposium on Antarctic Geosciences. (1988.), Vol. 2 (1988)
Abstract: Presented at 8th Symposium on Antarctic Geosciences, National Institute of Polar Research, Tokyo, October 22-23, 1987. Gravity surveys made at 11 sites during 1986-87. Simple model suggests steep change in Bouguer anomalies from west to east indicates that Moho discontinuity beneath Transantarctic Mountains is 20 km deeper than beneath McMurdo Sound.
Notes:

Keywords: 550.312 -- Gravity and isostasy.
551.21 -- Volcanoes.
B -- Geology and soil sciences.
(*7) -- Antarctic regions.
(*764) -- Ross Island.
