Assessment of key design aspects of a 150 foot high earth dam on warm permafrost / Theodore A. Hammer, T.G. Krzewinski, G.G. Booth.

Title: Assessment of key design aspects of a 150 foot high earth dam on warm permafrost / Theodore A. Hammer, T.G. Krzewinski, G.G. Booth.
Author(s): Hammer, Theodore A.
Krzewinski, T. G.
Booth, G. G.
Date: 1988.
Publisher: Trondheim: Tapir Publishers

Abstract: Few earth dams of this size have been constructed on permafrost, so special design details and positive performance monitoring scheme were incorporated in design. Describes design parameters, criteria, and aspects unique to warm permafrost environment. Primary site selection (north-west Alaska) and geotechnical investigations are also included.
