| Abstract: | Five series of open-system, unidirectional frost-heave tests were run in which three non-woven polypropylene geotextiles were tested. Certain fabrics were successful in reducing frost heave by as much as 85%. Optimum fabric thickness required is function of soil type as well as properties of geotextile. |
