Record #94368:

Interaction between a laterally loaded pile and frozen soil / L. Domaschuk, L. Fransson, D.H. Shields.

Title: Interaction between a laterally loaded pile and frozen soil / L. Domaschuk, L. Fransson, D.H. Shields.
Author(s): Domaschuk, L.
Fransson, L.
Shields, D. H.
Date: 1988.
Publisher: Trondheim: Tapir Publishers
In: Permafrost. Fifth International Conference. August 2-5, 1988. Proceedings. (1988.), Vol. 2.
Abstract: Describes creep behaviour of laterally loaded pipe pile embedded in frozen sand. At first, distribution of reactive forces was nonlinear with depth but, as creep of pile occurred, forces near top of pile decreased, while those further down increased. Ultimately, distribution became linear with depth.
