| Abstract: | Large-scale snow-cover anomalies may cause significant changes in diabatic heating of surface of Earth, so that substantial local cooling could occur. Theory was tested using three-dimensional general circulation model derived by Goddard Institute of Space Studies, and it was shown that local cooling did not occur. |
