Trypsin from Antarctic fish (Paranotothenia magellanica Forster) as compared with trout (Salmo gairdneri) trypsin / S. Genicot, G. Fellwer, Ch. Gerday.
Title: | Trypsin from Antarctic fish (Paranotothenia magellanica Forster) as compared with trout (Salmo gairdneri) trypsin / S. Genicot, G. Fellwer, Ch. Gerday. |
Author(s): | Genicot, S. Fellwer, G. Gerday, Ch. |
Date: | 1988. |
Publisher: | Oxford: Pergamon Press |
In: | Marine biology of Antarctic organisms; proceedings of the International Conference on the Marine Biology of Antarctica, Ravello, Italy, [6-8 October 1986]. (1988.), |
Abstract: | Trypsin of two species shown to have similar amino acid composition but different peptide maps. Over temperature range of 5-35° C, trypsin of Antarctic specimens displayed higher turnover number, physiological efficiency than trout or cow trypsins. |
Notes: | In: Marine biology of Antarctic organisms; proceedings of the International Conference on the Marine Biology of Antarctica, Ravello, Italy, [6-8 October 1986] / Guido di Prisco, Bruno Maresca, Bruno Tota, eds. |
Keywords: | 597.553.2 -- Salmoniformes. 597.583.1 -- Nototheniiformes. 591.1 -- Animal physiology. 591.11 -- Blood, body fluids and circulation. 577.1 -- Biochemistry. H4 -- Zoology: fish. (*7) -- Antarctic regions. (*80) -- Southern Ocean. |
