| Abstract: | Presents results of investigation carried out in December 1983 and March 1984 at lakes Untersee and Obersee, Schirmacheroasen, Prinsesse Astrid Kyst. Lake ice and surrounding glaciers were also sampled. In one small lake, near Untersee, δD values of water were lower than those of glacier by 50% SMOW. Suggests that this small lake is fed episodically by Pleistocene dead ice, now covered by moraine. |
