Record #94179:

Modelling of average monthly streamflows from glacierized basins in Alaska / D. Bjerkelie, Robert F. Carlson.

Title: Modelling of average monthly streamflows from glacierized basins in Alaska / D. Bjerkelie, Robert F. Carlson.
Author(s): Bjerkelie, D.
Carlson, Robert F.
Date: 1988.
Publisher: Trondheim: Tapir Publishers
In: Permafrost. Fifth International Conference. August 2-5, 1988. Proceedings. (1988.), Vol. 1.
Abstract: Presence of glaciers results in highly periodic flow which is influenced by temperature and radiation and is modified by total precipitation and basin elevation. Fourier and regression analysis of 17 basins revealed deterministic nature of flow and dependence on physiographic and climatic characteristics. Resulting equations allow simulation of average monthly flow hydrograph with good results on 7 out of 10 test basins.
