Block fields in southern Norway: significance for the Late Weichselian ice sheet / Atle Nesje, Svein Olaf Dahl, Einar Anda, Noralf Rye.

Title: Block fields in southern Norway: significance for the Late Weichselian ice sheet / Atle Nesje, Svein Olaf Dahl, Einar Anda, Noralf Rye.
Author(s): Nesje, Atle.
Dahl, Svein Olaf.
Anda, Einar.
Rye, Noralf.
Date: 1988.
In: Norsk Geografisk Tidsskrift. (1988.), Vol. 68(3) (1988)
Abstract: Geographical and altitudinal distribution of block fields and trimlines are discussed in relation to vertical extent of continental ice sheet at Late Weichselian maximum, and new model for Late Weichselian ice sheet is presented, which indicates low-gradient, poly-centred ice sheet at maximum with ice divide located close to present main watershed. During deglaciation, this retreated to coast and fjord areas of western Norway.
