Record #94114:

Experimental study of frost heaving of a saturated soil / Takeshi Ishizaki, Nobuaki Nishio.

Title: Experimental study of frost heaving of a saturated soil / Takeshi Ishizaki, Nobuaki Nishio.
Author(s): Ishizaki, Takeshi.
Nishio, Nobuaki.
Date: 1988.
Publisher: Rotterdam: A.A. Balkema
In: Ground freezing 88. Proceedings of the Fifth International Symposium on Ground Freezing, Nottingham, 28-28 July 1988. (1988.), Vol. 1.
Abstract: Experimental study of relationship between rate of water intake and temperature conditions in frozen zone of soil showed that former increased linearly with temperature gradient, and did not change greatly with increasing rate of frost penetration. Rate of frost heave increased as freezing front advanced and length of frozen zone decreased. Results used to test frost heave model.
Notes:
