| Abstract: | Presents and discusses results of radio echo-soundings and stake measurements. Allows simple model to be established for steady-state, two-dimensional flow of ice from steep slope at Signalkuppe to deepest bore hole drilled so far. Using this, rough approximations can be made about relationship between individual core sections and their source areas, as well as about time distribution within core. Model furnishes realistic results for upper two-thirds of ice only. |
