Record #93857:

Permafrost aggradation along an emergent coast, Churchill, Manitoba / L. Dyke.

Title: Permafrost aggradation along an emergent coast, Churchill, Manitoba / L. Dyke.
Author(s): Dyke, L.
Date: 1988.
Publisher: Trondheim: Tapir Publishers
In: Permafrost. Fifth International Conference. August 2-5, 1988. Proceedings. (1988.), Vol. 1.
Abstract: Along isostatically emerging coasts, permafrost must be aggrading into land as it becomes exposed in tidal zone. Shows that this occurs, in this area, in upper half of tidal zone. Theoretical model, based on extrapolation of single surface temperature record, provides prediction of permafrost extent that may be of use in site reconnaissance.
