Abstract: Snow patches and small glaciers at 800 to 1500 m a.s.l. observed since 1984. Permafrost is present in localized frost mounds and to greater depth in bedrock at higher altitudes. During last 45 years, most glaciers have receded or become stagnant and snow patches usually melt completely in summer.
