| Abstract: | Nature, geometry and interrelationships of major sedimentary units exposed in coastal cliffs were determined by lithofacies mapping. Textural and structural properties of exposed sediments were also investigated. Sequences studied show laterally continuous diamicton facies interbedded with clays, silts and sands. Various deformation structures are found throughout sequence. Discusses environment and processes of deposition of diamictons, sands and fines, together with origin of deformation structures. |
