Abstract: | Systematic study of fish family reveals 21 species in nine genera. Phylogenetic studies combined with marine geological history indicates that present, nonnotothenooid Antarctic fish fauna may originate in the Miocene rather than in the Pleistocene as has been previously suggested. |
