| Abstract: | Assessment of crustal stresses shows that they cannot be explained solely on basis of glacially induced stress and remaining isostatic rebound from Weichselian glaciation. It is therefore suggested that remaining excess horizontal stress is caused by ridge push applied by Mid-Atlantic Ridge. |
