Record #93597:
Summer cryospheric and atmospheric variability in the Arctic Basin / David A. Robinson, Gregory R. Scharfen.
Title: | Summer cryospheric and atmospheric variability in the Arctic Basin / David A. Robinson, Gregory R. Scharfen. |
Author(s): | Robinson, David A. Scharfen, Gregory R. |
Date: | 1988. |
Publisher: | Boston, MA: American Meteorological Society |
In: | Second Conference on Polar Meteorology and Oceanography, March 29-31, 1988, Madison, Wisc. : preprints. (1988.), |
Abstract: | Presents results from continuing effort to collect and analyze data. Variables studied include extent of ice, melt of snow cover on pack ice, surface albedo, cloudiness, atmospheric pressure, and surface air temperatures. Examines conditions in summer, when significant variability of each component during season, as well as between summers, occurs. Several apparent relationships between variables are found. |
Notes: | In: Second Conference on Polar Meteorology and Oceanography, March 29-31, 1988, Madison, Wisc. : preprints / American Meteorological Society. Preprint. |
