Record #93591:

Meridional heat transport by the ice and ocean in the western Arctic / Carol H. Pease.

Title: Meridional heat transport by the ice and ocean in the western Arctic / Carol H. Pease.
Author(s): Pease, Carol H.
Date: 1988.
Publisher: Boston, MA: American Meteorological Society
In: Second Conference on Polar Meteorology and Oceanography, March 29-31, 1988, Madison, Wisc. : preprints. (1988.),
Abstract: Describes development of simple model which will carry thermodynamic information in western Arctic corridor (Bering Sea) during autumn and winter vertically from ocean to atmosphere and longitudinally by transport by wind, sea ice, and water. Discusses results and implications which suggest that zones of persistent ice formation may be important source of energy for polar atmospheric boundary layer.
