| Abstract: | Rates of snow accumulation were calculated on basis of palaeoglaciological and climatic maps compiled for world atlas of snow and ice resources. Results presented in map which shows that snow accumulation on windward slopes (facing west and south-west) was as high as 250 to 400 gm cm² a⁻¹, equalling Alps and maritime glaciers of Norway. |
