Abstract: Observations in the Eclipse Sound area off the north coast of Baffin Island indicate that killer whales may be more common in Canadian Arctic waters than previously thought. Evidence suggests that narwhals have evolved specific defence strategies in response to killer whale predation and that these strategies are known to Inuit hunters who are able to capitalize on their knowledge.
