Abstract: Describes test set-up and instruments, and presents results from Gulf of Bothnia. Icebreaker was fitted with nozzle propeller on port side stern shaft, while starboard side was left unducted. Blades of propeller and supports of nozzle were instrumented. Underwater video monitoring system was fitted on both sides. Model tests were conducted in research basin with same set-up.
