| Abstract: | Describes second phase in development of prow intended to be attached to tow boat for opening navigation channels or for ice management in vicinity of locks and dams on northern rivers of USA. First described at 1986 IAHR Ice Symposium and published in proceedings, Vol. 2, p. 137-150. Prow has now been redesigned and model tests show improved manoeuvrability in ice. |
