Author(s): | Tatsuaki, Nakato. Toda, Keiichi. Ettema, Robert. |
Date: | 1988. |
Publisher: | [Delft]: International Association for Hydraulic Research, Committee on Ice Problems |
In: | Proceedings, the 9th International Symposium on Ice, 23-27 August 1988, Sapporo, Japan. (1988.), Vol. 2. |
Abstract: | Presents mathematical analysis of thermal characteristics of various configurations of heat sources (e.g. continuous planar heat source, line heat source, rectangular boundary containing two line heat sources) placed in concrete lock walls. For each configuration, analytical solutions were obtained for temporal distributions of temperature within concrete boundary, temporal rate of heat transfer at lock-wall surface, and accumulated total heat expended after prescribed times of application. |
