Abstract: | Develops numerical model to simulate ice-cover formation by frazil-ice accumulation over stage-regulated navigation pools. Results suggests that there exists optimum river discharge for given size of navigation pool that corresponds to minimum time for ice cover to form. Time to form ice cover decreases with decrease in air temperature. |
