| Abstract: | Describes system by which computer-based Cryospheric Data Management System at National Snow and Ice Data Center, Boulder, CO, USA, will extract polar Special Sensor Microwave Imager data and make them readily available in suitable formats for use by scientific community. May be later extended to include snow-cover data products as suitable algorithms are developed, and radar altimetry over continental ice sheets could also be distributed through system. |
