Author(s): | Hirayama, Ken-ichi. Sakamoto, Norimasa. Takeuchi, Norihiro. Obara, Ichiya. Sasamoto, Makoto. |
Date: | 1988. |
Publisher: | [Delft]: International Association for Hydraulic Research, Committee on Ice Problems |
In: | Proceedings, the 9th International Symposium on Ice, 23-27 August 1988, Sapporo, Japan. (1988.), Vol. 1. |
Abstract: | Considers effects of ice conditions and properties of this lake in relation to planning of structures. Field measurements for five winters showed that lake is ice-covered for about three months each year and thickness often reaches 50 cm. Ice growth and thickness were predicted and results compared with observations. Movements and ride-up were observed. |
