Abstract: | In order to predict total ice force and local ice pressure, elasto-plastic analysis based on yield function of Mohr-Coulomb theory using finite element method was applied to simulation of crushing failure of ice sheet due to indentation caused by vertical pile when it enters ice sheet. Describes comparison made of both experimental data and applications, and discusses validity of application of elasto-plastic analysis to simulation of crushing failure on ice sheet. |
