Record #93046:

Mechanical properties of Antarctic sea ice / M. Inoue, Y. Yamauchi, T. Ebinuma.

Title: Mechanical properties of Antarctic sea ice / M. Inoue, Y. Yamauchi, T. Ebinuma.
Author(s): Inoue, M.
Yamauchi, Y.
Ebinuma, T.
Date: 1988.
Publisher: [Delft]: International Association for Hydraulic Research, Committee on Ice Problems
In: Proceedings, the 9th International Symposium on Ice, 23-27 August 1988, Sapporo, Japan. (1988.), Vol. 1.
Abstract: Tests on land-fast first-year sea ice from Ongul Strait and Breid Bay, taken during austral summer 1985-86. Three types of ice were identified: granular, columnar with preferred c-axis orientation in north-east direction, and short columnar with weakly-oriented c-axis in horizontal plane. Compressive and shear strengths were measured as function of depth and strain-rate.
Notes:

In: Proceedings, the 9th International Symposium on Ice, 23-27 August 1988, Sapporo, Japan. Vol. 1. / Hiroshi Saeki, Ken-ichi Hirayama, eds.
