Record #93043:
A comparative study of sea ice research / Mark Mawhinney.
Title: | A comparative study of sea ice research / Mark Mawhinney. |
Author(s): | Mawhinney, Mark. |
Date: | 1988. |
Publisher: | [Delft]: International Association for Hydraulic Research, Committee on Ice Problems |
In: | Proceedings, the 9th International Symposium on Ice, 23-27 August 1988, Sapporo, Japan. (1988.), Vol. 1. |
Abstract: | Published (pre-1985) experimental data were compared in order to define relationships and trends between major field variables and mechanical properties. Where no relationships were evident, aim was to establish limiting value (tabulated). Value was later incorporated into computer program where, given environmental conditions, such limiting values could be modified. |
Notes: | In: Proceedings, the 9th International Symposium on Ice, 23-27 August 1988, Sapporo, Japan. Vol. 1. / Hiroshi Saeki, Ken-ichi Hirayama, eds. |
Keywords: | 551.32 -- Glaciology. 551.326 -- Floating ice. 539.3 -- Ice, mechanical properties. E6 -- Glaciology: floating ice. |
