Record #93004:

The Wyoming windshield - an evaluation after 12 years of use in Alaska / George P. Clagett.

Title: The Wyoming windshield - an evaluation after 12 years of use in Alaska / George P. Clagett.
Author(s): Clagett, George P.
Date: 1988.
In: Western Snow Conference. Proceedings. (1988.), Vol. 56th Annual Meeting (1988)
Abstract: Tests in Alaska indicate catch efficiency of 80 to 90% of total snowfall, not 48% as reported from Wyoming. Wyoming windshields afford catch 200% greater than National Weather Service's standard unshielded gauges during coldest period of winter (November-April) and 100% greater for whole winter. Results compared with those obtained with other shielded and non-shielded devices.
