Record #93000:

Snow deposition processes in a forest stand with a clearing / Charles A. Troendle, R.A. Schmidt, Manuel H. Martinez.

Title: Snow deposition processes in a forest stand with a clearing / Charles A. Troendle, R.A. Schmidt, Manuel H. Martinez.
Author(s): Troendle, Charles A.
Schmidt, R. A.
Martinez, Manuel H.
Date: 1988.
In: Western Snow Conference. Proceedings. (1988.), Vol. 56th Annual Meeting (1988)
Abstract: Reports results of experiments, January-March 1988, comparing flux differences between forest and clearing for periods with and without snowfall. Results support hypothesis that redistribution of intercepted snow by wind is negligible when snowfall has ceased.
Notes:

Western Snow Conference. Proceedings. Vol. 56th Annual Meeting :78-86 (1988).

Keywords: 624.144.4 -- Snow drifting, control.
551.578.4 -- Ice needles, sleet, falling snow and graupel.
E10 -- Glaciology: snow and avalanches.
