Title: | Snowpack-vegetation dynamics: mountain hemlocks in the Lake Tahoe area / Janet L. Nachlinger, Neil H. Berg. |
Author(s): | Nachlinger, Janet L. Berg, Neil H. |

In: | Western Snow Conference. Proceedings. (1988.), Vol. 56th Annual Meeting (1988) |
Abstract: | Analyzes relationship between snow cover, depth, and duration, and vegetation dynamics in sub-alpine stands of Tsuga mertensiana (spruce) in central California and Nevada, and examines hypothesis that, in this region, these trees occur on microsites that effectively receive more moisture, through snow-related factors, than regional climatic information indicates. |
Notes: | Western Snow Conference. Proceedings. Vol. 56th Annual Meeting :23-34 (1988). |
