Abstract: Survey of naturally occurring trumpeter swans conducted in the Yukon and Northwest territories , British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan in 1985 indicates an expanding population in western Canada. Since 1981 Yukon population has declined, BC and Alberta populations increased; no previous data for NWT. Saskatchewan population remains precariously low.
