Record #92494:

Crevasse deformation and examples from Ice Stream B, west Antarctica (abstract) / P.L. Vornberger, Ian M. Whillans.

Title: Crevasse deformation and examples from Ice Stream B, west Antarctica (abstract) / P.L. Vornberger, Ian M. Whillans.
Author(s): Vornberger, P. L.
Whillans, Ian M.
Date: 1988.
Publisher: Cambridge: International Glaciological Society
In: Annals of Glaciology. (1988.), Vol. 11 (1988)
Abstract: Crevasses are subject to rotation and bending according to velocity field through which they travel. Object of this study is to determine to what extent velocity field can be inferred from measurements of resulting shapes of crevasses, e.g. hook-shaped, splaying, and transverse (which occur in trains)
