Record #92487:

Thermal regime of George VI Ice Shelf, Antarctic Peninsula (abstract) / Julian G. Paren, S. Cooper.

Title: Thermal regime of George VI Ice Shelf, Antarctic Peninsula (abstract) / Julian G. Paren, S. Cooper.
Author(s): Paren, Julian G.
Cooper, S.
Date: 1988.
Publisher: Cambridge: International Glaciological Society
In: Annals of Glaciology. (1988.), Vol. 11 (1988)
Abstract: New data obtained by thermistor chains installed through use of hot-water drill. Observations show that, as ice flows towards northern ice front of this ice shelf, it becomes more temperate in character as it is progressively warmed by heat from sea and by percolation of meltwater.
