| Abstract: | Abstract of paper to be presented at AGU Fall Meeting, to be held in San Francisco, 6-11 December 1988. Results based on data derived from visual analyses of 0.6 and 2.7 km resolution satellite shortwave imagery for eight summer seasons. Charts for snow-cover categories were constructed for 3-d intervals between 1 May and 16 August. Snow cover was detected from surface brightness signatures and textural patterns on imagery in absence of clouds. |
