Record #92235:

A method to forecast open pack ice speed of motion using remotely-sensed data / Uri Feldman.

Title: A method to forecast open pack ice speed of motion using remotely-sensed data / Uri Feldman.
Author(s): Feldman, Uri.
Date: 1988.
Publisher: Noordwijk: ESTEC, ESA Publications Division
In: IGARSS'88; remote sensing moving towards the 21st century, 12-16 September 1988, Edinburgh, UK. 1988 International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium. (1988.), Vol. 3.
Abstract: Presents and tests new forecasting method for ice floes drifting in marginal ice zone from readily available data (2-day sequences of sidelapping Landsat-1 MSS images, 3-day sequences of 6-hour surface weather charts, minima and maxima of ice thickness and drag coefficients at air/ice and water/ice interfaces). Tested with six groups of open pack-ice floes drifting in south-east Beaufort Sea, 1973-75.
