| Abstract: | Collection for 1067 locations combines thickness information in literature with precise temperature observations from downhole measurements and interpretations of base of ice-bearing permafrost from geophysical well logs. Average thickness of 258 m, with thicknesses as deep as 900 m in some locations. Database was compiled using Lotus 1-2-3 and is available from Terrain Sciences, Geological Survey of Canada, on diskettes for use on IBM-PC. |
