| Abstract: | Abstract of paper to be presented at AGU Fall Meeting, to be held in San Francisco, 6-11 December 1988. Study of Columbia Glacier, AK, in summers of 1984 and 1985 and spring of 1986 indicated that glacier speed variations in tidal-frequency range are dependent on tidal-period variations in sea level at terminus and diurnal-period variations in meltwater input at surface. Variations in meltwater input affect glacier speed. |
