Record #91623:

Undrained triaxial strength and stress-strain characteristics of a glacial till soil / J.H. Atkinson, J.A. Little.

Title: Undrained triaxial strength and stress-strain characteristics of a glacial till soil / J.H. Atkinson, J.A. Little.
Author(s): Atkinson, J. H.
Little, J. A.
Date: 1988.
In: Canadian Geotechnical Journal. (1988.), Vol. 25(3) (1988)
Abstract: Tests carried out on reconstituted and nominally undisturbed tubed samples of lodgement till from Vale of St Albans, Hertfordshire, England. Results examined within general framework of critical-state soil mechanics, and shown to form consistent pattern of behaviour. Basic stress-strain and strength characteristics may be masked by effects of state, history, and sample disturbance unless data is carefully interpreted.
Notes:

Keywords: 551.332.212 -- Till or boulder clay.
E7 -- Glaciology: glacial geology and ice ages.
(420) -- England.
