Record #91370:

Wind-aided recruitment of Canadian arctic cisco (Coregonus autumnalis) into Alaskan waters / Robert G. Fechhelm, David B. Fissel.

Title: Wind-aided recruitment of Canadian arctic cisco (Coregonus autumnalis) into Alaskan waters / Robert G. Fechhelm, David B. Fissel.
Author(s): Fechhelm, Robert G.
Fissel, David B.
Date: 1988.
In: Canadian Journal of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences. (1988.), Vol. 45(5) (1988)
Abstract: Summer wind data collected at Barter Island, Alaska, was compared with commercial fishery catches of arctic cisco at Colville River, Alaska from 1967-85. Results suggest that young-of-the-year fish which spawn in the Mackenzie River are aided in their westward dispersal into Alaskan waters via wind-driven longshore currents.
