Record #90761:
Application of a flow model to the ice-divide region of Devon Island ice cap, Canada / Niels Reeh, William Stanley B. Paterson.
Title: | Application of a flow model to the ice-divide region of Devon Island ice cap, Canada / Niels Reeh, William Stanley B. Paterson. |
Author(s): | Reeh, Niels. Paterson, William Stanley B. |
Date: | 1988. |
In: | Journal of Glaciology. (1988.), Vol. 34(116) (1988) |
Abstract: | Applies model developed in previous paper, ibid., idem, p. 46-54, to study steady-state distributions of stress, strain-rate, and velocity, and variation of annual-layer thickness with depth, in this region, where flow line follows surface crest for 7.6 km before running down slope for further 3.7 km. Effects of bedrock undulations, divergence of flow lines, variation of temperature with depth, and basal layer of "soft" ice-age ice are taken into account. |
Notes: | Journal of Glaciology. Vol. 34(116) :55-63 (1988). |
