Record #90463:

Chemical composition of insoluble particles in an ice cap on Storøya, Svalbard (abstract) / Jost Heintzenberg, Margareta Källström, Hans-Christen Hansson, Stig Jonsson.

Title: Chemical composition of insoluble particles in an ice cap on Storøya, Svalbard (abstract) / Jost Heintzenberg, Margareta Källström, Hans-Christen Hansson, Stig Jonsson.
Author(s): Heintzenberg, Jost.
Källström, Margareta.
Hansson, Hans-Christen.
Jonsson, Stig.
Date: 1988.
In: Annals of Glaciology. (1988.), Vol. 10 (1988)
Abstract: Analysis of samples from ice core taken from Storøyjøkulen indicate two major factors affecting microparticle composition: crustal and anthropogenic. Seasonal pattern found which is consistent with 40 cm annual accumulation deduced from mass-balance studies on ice cap.
Notes:

Annals of Glaciology. Vol. 10 :204 (1988).

Keywords: 551.324.84 -- Land ice, impurities.
551.32 -- Glaciology.
551.321.2 -- Snow and ice, methods of sampling, excavating, drilling, etc.
622.14 -- Core sampling, ice and snow.
E5 -- Glaciology: land ice.
(*32) -- Svalbard.
