| Abstract: | Author sets scene of Ohthere's and Wulfstan's accounts of their explorations, their nature as interview, and clarifies orientational problem with Norwegian units of 45°. She suggests different river from commonly accepted Varzuga and discusses whether "Iraland" refers to Ireland or Iceland. She concludes with her own "faithful, if heavy" translations of the two interviews. |
