Abstract: | Evolutionary history of heather vole Phenacomys one of few living microtine genera whose ancestry has not been traced back to Miocene. Reports study of recently discovered Late Pliocene fossil closely resembling extinct Asiatic genus Cromeromys suggesting probable ancestry. |
