Abstract: Study had two main objectives: comparison of energy and water balances of melting snowpack during rain-on-snow for forested and clearcut areas, and determination of applicability of US Army Corps of Engineers snowmelt equations for coastal rain-on-snow situations in both forested and open sites. Study site was near Vancouver, British Columbia.
