Title: | Remote monitoring of depth of snow on ground with a micrologger / Stuart N. Edey, D.J. Buckley, M.J.L. Lalond, C.F. Nicholls. |
Author(s): | Edey, Stuart N. Buckley, D. J. Lalond, M. J. L. Nicholls, C. F. |
Date: | 1987. |
Publisher: | Ottawa: National Research Council Canada. Associate Committee on Geotechnical Research |
In: | National Research Council of Canada. Associate Committee on Geotechnical Research. Technical Memorandum. (1987.), Vol. 140 (1987) |
Abstract: | Snow depth is sensed by ultrasonic transducer which combines reference target and microprocessor to compensate for changes in atmospheric temperature, humidity and pressure. Snow-depth data are sampled and temporarily stored on micrologger at site. Micrologger is linked via telephone to personal computer so that data can be accessed daily. |
