Record #88933:

Snow properties in actual field conditions and stability analysis / Masaharu Fukue.

Title: Snow properties in actual field conditions and stability analysis / Masaharu Fukue.
Author(s): Fukue, Masaharu.
Date: 1987.
Publisher: Ottawa: National Research Council Canada. Associate Committee on Geotechnical Research
In: National Research Council of Canada. Associate Committee on Geotechnical Research. Technical Memorandum. (1987.), Vol. 140 (1987)
Abstract: It has been found that in regional conditions there are almost unique relationships between density and time, and between strength and time for seasonal snow covers, if distinction is made between melted/refrozen and unmelted snow covers. By using relationships established in this study, stability of snow slopes was analyzed, using avalanche on slopes of Mount Fuji in 1960 as example.
