Snowpack dry deposition of sulfur: a four-day chronicle / David R. DeWalle, Howard G. Halvorson, William E. Sharpe.
Title: | Snowpack dry deposition of sulfur: a four-day chronicle / David R. DeWalle, Howard G. Halvorson, William E. Sharpe. |
Author(s): | DeWalle, David R. Halvorson, Howard G. Sharpe, William E. |
Date: | 1987. |
In: | Eastern Snow Conference. Proceedings. (1987.), Vol. 43rd [1986] Annual Meeting (1987) |
Abstract: | Four-day sequence of dry deposition measurements based upon snowpack mass balance indicated large sulphur dry deposition on first day under blowing snow conditions, followed by three consecutive days of zero snowpack sulphur exchange under stable conditions. Snowpack mass-balance data were adjusted for effects of blowing snow to calculate sulphur dry deposition rates of 4.13 mg m⁻² d⁻¹ and deposition velocity for total atmospheric sulphur of 0.4 cm s⁻¹ on first day. |
Notes: | Eastern Snow Conference. Proceedings. Vol. 43rd [1986] Annual Meeting :185-189 (1987). |
