| Abstract: | Presents data collected at D-47, Terre Adélie. Number and size of snow particles were measured photoelectrically during summer and plotted against wind speed. Drifting snow was observed at wind speed as low as 8 m s⁻¹. Annual total value of drifting snow for this windy area was calculated to be 6.3x10⁶ kg a⁻¹. |
